Boy kills stepmother

LAHORE, Aug 20: A boy allegedly shot dead his stepmother over a family dispute in Shadbagh on Tuesday.

The police said Qurban, 17, used to quarrel with his step-mother Saima Bibi, 32, over domestic issues. Both exchanged harsh words on Tuesday, and the boy brought a pistol from one of his friends and opened fire on his step-mother.

Neighbours took the injured woman to a nearby hospital where she died. They nabbed the accused and handed him over to the police.

A case was registered against him and the body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.
