PESHAWAR, Aug 20: Speakers at a book-launching ceremony of Brig Hamid Asghar paid glowing tribute to the author.

The ceremony was held at Khyber Medical College on Monday evening under the auspices of the college’s social welfare society.

The book titled “Wazir Ba Taqrir” written by Punjab Local Government  Minister, Brig Hamid Asghar, contained   speeches of the author.

The NWFP Governor, Iftikhar Hussain Shah, who was the chief guest on the occasion, appreciated the author for his efforts to compile a book despite his pressing engagements as a minister. The book, he said would go a long way to impress the readers. Mr Shah said the author was an orator, writer and professional army officer. The book, he said, was also a timely rejoinder to the critics of the present government where the author had made a description of the government-launched reform process in the country.

The author, Brig Hamid Asghar, briefly introduced the contents of the book.
