Man shot dead

ISLAMABAD, Aug 19: A 55-year-old security guard was shot dead at his house in Bara Kahu on Monday.

Police said the man, Wali Dad, was sleeping when some unidentified person entered his room and murdered him. Further investigations are under way.

PPI ADDS: Some unknown car riders opened fire on a head constable in the jurisdiction of Sihala Police Station.

Head Constable Aurangzeb was seriously injured as a result. He had tried to stop a taxi (IDT-5520). The drunk passengers opened fire on the police party. One of them, Yousaf, was arrested.
