Kutcha abadi dwellers hold demo

Published August 19, 2002

ISLAMABAD, Aug 18: The dwellers of a kutcha abadi in F-6/2 have staged a protest demonstration against the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for providing contaminated water to the locality.

The protesters said the water supply lines had been broken and dirty water of sewerage lines was getting mixed with drinking water.

The joint-secretary of the labour wing of Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam), Rasheed Chohan, said the dwellers of the area were using unhygienic water for the last one year. He criticized the CDA for not resolving the issue despite several complaints.

He demanded an early solution to the problem. — PPI
