LARKANA, Aug 17: The division bench of the Sindh High Court, circuit court, Larkana, on the other day disposed of the petition of 107 under-trial prisoners (UTPs) after receiving a letter from the inspector general of police, Sindh, ensuring the production of UTPs of Shikarpur District, lodged at the central prison, Sukkur, before the trial courts.

The division bench consisted of Justice Zawar Hussain Jafferi and Justice Mohammed Afzal Soomro.

The 107 UTPs lodged at the central prison through their advocate, Ubedullah Abro, filed a constitutional petition on June 27 against the district coordination officer (DCO), DPO, reserve inspector, line officer Shikarpur, and the superintendent, central prison, Sukkur, invoking article 199 of the 1973 Constitution.
