HYDERABAD, Nov 7: The registrar, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, has notified for the information of all concerned that the interviews of the eligible candidates for admissions to first-year for the 2001-2002 session will be conducted at the university.

The schedule for the interviews is as follows:

From 9am to 12:30pm on Nov 12 for Hyderabad, Dadu, and Thatta Districts.

From 9am to 12pm on Nov 13 for Badin, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, and Sanghar districts.

From 9am to 12pm on Nov 14 for Naushahro Feroze, Nawabshah, Sukkur, and Ghotki districts.

From 9am to 1pm on Nov 15 for Khairpur, Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad districts and Karachi division.

From 9am to 1pm on Nov 15 for Mehran university employees, diploma holders, and self-financing scheme.

The registrar said that the merit list of the eligible candidates called for interview would be displayed on the notice board of the university for information of all the candidates on Nov 9.

All eligible candidates have been advised to appear before the admissions committee in the office of the registrar for interview along with their original documents on the dates and times mentioned above.

The candidates who fail to appear before the admissions committee for interview on the prescribed dates will not be considered for admission.

BOOK FESTIVAL: The vice chancellor, University of Sindh, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, inaugurated a ten-day book festival at the Allama I.I. Qazi Central Library of the university on Wednesday.

Begum Akhtar Jameel Siddiqui, Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, Dr Abida Tahirani, Dr Noor Mustafa Shaikh, Dr Qazi Khadim Hussain, and a large number of university teachers and students attended the inaugural function.

The book festival will continue upto Nov 16.
