ISLAMABAD, Aug 16: The ambassadors designate of Bosnia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and United States presented their credential to President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Friday.

The ambassador designate of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Avdo Abdullah Hodzic, the ambassador designate of Republic of Azerbaijan, Eynulla Yadulla Oglu Madatli, the ambassador designate of the Republic of Turkey, Hasan Kemal and the ambassador designate of United States, Nancy J. Powell, presented their credentials in a ceremony held at the Aiwan-i-Sadr.

Earlier, the envoys designate separately arrived at the Aiwan-i-Sadr. A smartly turned out contingent of army presented the guard of honour. National anthems of Pakistan and the envoys’ respective countries were also played on the occasion.

The envoys separately called on President Pervez Musharraf and discussed with him matters of mutual interest.

Foreign Secretary Riaz H. Khokhar was also present during the meetings. —APP
