HYDERABAD: HDBA polls today

HYDERABAD, Aug 16: An interesting and close contest is expected in the annual elections of the Hyderabad District Bar Association (HDBA) here on Saturday (today).

There are three contestants for the seat of the HDBA president. However, the real fight will take place between the incumbent president Abdul Aziz Sheikh and former president Chaudhry Basheer Gujjar. Mir Sikandar Talpur is the third aspirant.

For the post of the general secretary, there are four candidates, including the sitting general secretary HDBA Haneef Kaimkhani. The other candidates are Zahoor A. Baluch, Sardar Qureshi and Mohammad Haneef Sheikh.

The candidates for the post of vice president include Ghulam Qadir Siyal, Mukhtar Khanzada, Mehmood Siddiqui, Kareem Bux Qureshi and the sitting VP Abdul Khaliq Leghari.
