ISLAMABAD, Nov 7: The convenor of World Minorities Alliance, J. Salik, will lock himself in an iron cage from the first of Ramazan “to express solidarity with the Muslim brethren”.

Speaking at a press conference from inside the cage on Wednesday, Mr Salik said: “I would voluntarily restrict my personal liberty, and keep myself in the cage during Ramazan”, he added.

He requested the journalists to lock his cage on the first of Ramazan and release him on Eidul Fitr so that he could celebrate the occasion with the Muslims.

“I shall request the administration to allow my cage to be placed outside the UN office. In case the administration does not give permission, the cage will remain at my house in F-7/1”, he added.

He termed the Bahawalpur incident as a propaganda to create misunderstanding between the Muslims and Christians.
