HYDERABAD, Aug 15: The All Pakistan Minority Alliance, the National Commission for Justice and Peace and the Christian Muslim Dialogue Group staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Thursday to condemn attacks on a missionary school in Murree and Christian hospital, Texila.

Speaking at the rally, Rufan Wilson, Peter Joseph, father Mohan Victor, father Inayat Maseeh, Daniel Fayyaz, Ghaffar Malik, Nazeer Maseeh, S. Lal Ahuja, Bashir Niaz, M. Perkash and others said terrorist attacks on properties of minorities and killings of innocent people had brought a bad name to the country.

They said minorities had played an important role in the creation of Pakistan and recalled that in Punjab the resolution in favour of Pakistan was passed due to the four votes of minorities as the votes of the Pakistan Muslim League members and the Unionist Party were equal.

They appealed to the government to check religious terrorism and award punishment to perpetrators of heinous crimes.

A message of the catholic Bishops of Pakistan was also read on the occasion. Special prayers were also offered for martyrs in churches.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the All Pakistan Minority Alliance, Shahbaz Bhatti, Saleem Khursheed Khokhar and others, in a statement thanked people for joining the protest against the terrorists attacks on Christian properties.
