KARACHI, Aug 15: The Institute of Environmental Studies, University of Karachi, would hold the 6th WHO workshop on “water disinfection and action plan during emergencies” from August 19 to 21 on the campus.

A KU circular said that the workshop, which is being held jointly by the WHO, the ministry of health and the Institute, aims to train persons to improve water quality by using different disinfection options suitable for urban and rural communities and during emergency situations.

In all there would be eight technical sessions stretching over three days.
