HYDERABAD, Aug 12: Rich tribute was paid to renowned scholar Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasmi for his services in the cause of education and literature at a literary gathering held here on Sunday.

The function was organized by the “Bazam-i-Rooh Rehan” at the residence of Abdul Hameed Sindhi, former vice-chancellor, Shah Latif University, Khairpur.

Speaking on the occasion, a student of Allama Qasmi, Dr Ghulam Ali Allana, said scholars from Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Kenya come to Allama Qasmi to pay homage to him and seek knowledge.

Another student of Allama Qasmi, Dr Habibullah Siddiqui, said Allama Qasmi had no parallel in the field of literature and education in the subcontinent.

Speaking at the literary gathering, Allama Qasmi said he had disseminated the literature of Sindh during his visits to Moscow, China, India and other countries.

He said he had remained guide to one hundred Ph.D scholars and added that he had also spread the philosophy of Shah Waliullah Dehlvi and Maulana Obaidullah Sindhi.

TRAINING: The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (Smeda), with the collaboration of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI), conducted a two-day training programme on “Beginning and managing a new business” here the other day.
