SUKKUR, Aug 11: Two women and a girl were killed over Karo-kari and a girl was kidnapped in different parts of Sindh during the last 48 hours ending on Sunday evening.

A man, Ghulam Sarwar Jagirani, killed his wife on the pretext of Karo-Kari in the Bachal Wah village, near Jacobabad, on Saturday.

Ghulam strangulated his wife, Husna. Later, he surrendered himself to the police confessing to his crime.

In another incident, three armed men barged into the house of a woman, Mangla, and shot her dead on the spot in the Mehar village near Kandhkot on Saturday.

Another woman, Hasina, was seriously injured in the incident. Later, she was taken to a hospital.

Mangla was said to have been killed on the pretext of Karo-Kari.

Police registered a case against two men, Hamid Ali and Sanwal.

Adds Our Nawabshah, Correspondent: Fourteen-year-old Lal Khatoon was killed by her brother, Ahmad Ali Chandio, on the pretext of Karo-kari in Nanga Chandio village near Bandhi on Sunday.

An FIR has been lodged at the Bandhi police station.
