ISLAMABAD, Aug 10: The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has issued show-cause notices to the library officials who allegedly embezzled library funds.

According to reliable sources, the accused have been asked by a two-member inquiry committee to explain their position within seven days.

The committee, comprising University of Engineering and Technology Taxila vice-chancellor Dr Sharif Bhatti and Balochistan University dean of physical science faculty Dr Mohsin Raza, was formed at an AIOU executive council meeting on July 13.
