Dragon Bruce clinch title

LAHORE, Aug 6: Dragon Bruce Shotokan Centre won the Lahore zone karate championship at the National Sports Training and Coaching Centre here Tuesday.

Pakistan Shotokan Centre secured second position while Okinawa Centre stood third.

More than 170 players of 15 centres belonging to Lahore, Okara, Sheikhupura and Kasur participated in this championship.

Those who won gold medals are:

55 kgs: Amir Ashfaq (Martial Arts Centre). 60 kgs: Salman Khan (Okinawa Centre). 65 kgs: Ghazanfar Ali (Dragon Bruce Centre), 70 kgs: Fayyaz (New Friends Shotokan Centre). 75 kgs: Zeeshan Haider (Shotokan Centre). 80 kgs: Amir Sajjad (Pakistan Shotokan Centre). Above 80 kgs: Hamid Majeed (Dragon Bruce Centre). Individual kata: Malik Shehbaz (Pakistan  Shotokan Academy). Team kata: Okinawa Centre.
