KARACHI, Aug 5: After an inordinate delay, the committee established for admissions to Class XI in Intermediate colleges of the city has managed to prepare a schedule of admissions.

An official of the admissions committee set up under the Centralized Admission Policy (CAP) said on Monday, that the admissions schedule for Class XI has been finalized and will be announced within one or two days.

“According to (the) proposed schedule of admissions, admission forms (will) be available at designated branches of a bank from Aug 13 and (should be) submitted back up to Aug 21,” he said, adding that the placement list of students will be posted within the next two weeks.

The Board of Intermediate Education (BIEK) has ordered principals of all affiliated Intermediate colleges, through a circular, to complete the process of admission to higher secondary classes within three weeks from the commencement of the academic session starting from Aug 1.

However, the chairman BIEK may extend the date of admissions by granting an additional three-weeks time in exceptional cases, the circular added.—PPI
