LAHORE, Aug 4: Boxer Haider Ali will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 100,000 and promotion by his parent department Wapda, for winning a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.

Haider outclassed Indian rival Som Bahadur Pun on points in the featherweight final to give Pakistan its first gold of the Games.

The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) had already announced cash prizes of Rs 50,000 for a gold medal winner and Rs 25,000 for silver medal winner of the Commonwealth Games.
