ISLAMABAD, Nov 6: Saira Ali, the adopted daughter of Justice Nawaz Abbasi, senior judge of the Lahore High Court, who died in a road accident, was laid to rest here on Tuesday.

The funeral prayers of the deceased, who died on Monday with three other students of Bahria College near F-9 Park, was held at Islamabad graveyard.

A large number of people from all walks of life, including judges, besides civil and armed forces officials.

Prominent among them were the Lahore High Court Chief Justice, Falak Sher, federal law secretary Faqir Muhammad Khokhar, LHC judges of the Rawalpindi Bench Justice M. Javed Buttar, Justice Ali Nawaz Chohan, and Justice Muhammad Saeed Akhtar.

Teachers and students of Bahria College also attended the funeral prayer.

The Qul and prayer for the departed soul will be held on Thursday at House No 40-A street 30, F-8/1 from 2.30 to 4pm.

The deceased was wife of lieutenant Umar Farooq Malik of Pakistan Navy and daughter of the late Commodore Ali Ahmad.

Five students of Bahria College were going in a car (RIV-7542) when their vehicle smashed into a heavy dumper (PRU-6285) while overtaking another car (RIW-579) on Margalla Road near F-9 Park.

As a result, Raza Manzoor, Mustafa Nasir, Sabeen Jawad and Saira Ali, died on the spot, and another girl, Samina Khan, sustained injuries. She was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences in critical condition.
