Tanvir emerges leader

KARACHI, Aug 1: Defending National Sailing champion Tanvir of PAF began his quest to retain his title for the in style.

Tanvir won all the three races on the first day of the 3-day championship Thursday to strengthen his position as leader in this Asian/ Olympic Class of board.

Amir Nawaz of Navy who was also tipped as favourite before the championship could not perform well and finished second. Sarfraz also of Navy was overall third.

A total of six participants Tanvir, Amir Nawaz, Essa Khan, Khandad, Sarfraz and Mubashir Rahim took part in the competition.—APP
