ISLAMABAD, July 29: The ambassador of Bosnia Herzegovina, Abdulah Hadzic, visited the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) campus here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the AIOU vice-chancellor, Prof Dr Syed Altaf Hussain, said the Bosnian people had sacrificed a lot to gain independence from the oppressors thus setting an example of patriotism and valour for those who strive for freedom.

The VC informed the Bosnian envoy about the working of the institution and the different disciplines being taught there.

He said the AIOU faculty would extend all possible help to the Bosnian government regarding the educational facilities.

The ambassador thanked Dr Hussain for his appraisal of the Bosnian people and said both Pakistan and Bosnia Herzegovina would work together for the advancement in education.
