PESHAWAR, July 29: A man killed his father, brother and injured four other members of his family over a petty dispute here on Monday.

An injured Shaukat, son of Shah Mast, a resident of Latifabad, told the police that his brother Hayat Khan left home with his wife over a petty dispute with his father.

According to sources, Hayat Khan wanted to convert the drawing room in his house into a kitchen and a bathroom after making major alterations.

But Shah Mast opposed the idea and did not allow him to materialize his plan.

A few days back, he left his father’s house and started living with his his in-laws.

On Monday morning Hayat Khan came to his father’s house with his five accomplices and allegedly opened fire killing his father Shah Mast and brother Liaqat Khan on the spot.

The accused also injured his mother Sabiro, brothers Momin Khan and Shaukat Khan and his 7-year-old niece Rema.

The injured were rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital. The accused escaped from the scene after the shooting.

Faqirabad police have registered a case against the accused and are trying depsprately to find the muderer and his accomplice.
