LAHORE: River flows

LAHORE, July 27: The combined river flow on Saturday dropped to 266,300 cusecs. Out of this 217,600 cusecs was released for irrigation purpose and 48,700 cusecs stored at Tarbela dam.

River Indus had an inflow of 163,700 cusecs and outflow of 115,000 cusecs at Tarbela. The lake level stood at 1,473.8 feet against the minimum level of 1,369 feet and the maximum of 1,550 feet.

River Jhelum had an inflow of 20,000 cusecs at Mangla. None of it was stored. The lake level was reportedly 1,197.6 feet against the optimum level of 1,202 feet.

The Jinnah Barrage had an inflow of 185,000 cusecs and outflow of 177,000 cusecs; Chashma Barrage 160,200 cusecs and 160,000 cusecs; Taunsa Barrage 175,600 cusecs and 147,100 cusecs and Sukkur Barrage 100,800 cusecs and 42,100 cusecs. Kotri Barrage had an inflow of 37,500 cusecs. There was no flow out. —Staff Reporter
