TAXILA: Soomro praises POF Wah

TAXILA, July 27: The Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) has made tremendous progress by achieving the targets set by the armed forces which earned foreign exchange for the country.

This was said by Sindh Governor Mohammadmian Soomro during his visit to the POF here on Saturday.

He said financial indicators of this vital defence complex were very healthy as compared to other public sector organizations. He appreciated the technical training facilities available in the mechanical, chemical, electrical, electronics and computer disciplines and the Total Quality Management at POF Institute of Technology.

He urged the public and private sectors to benefit from this facility which was available at reasonable rates.

The governor visited various units, and showed keen interest in the production of arms and ammunition. He appreciated the quality of POF products and high standard maintained in the production of armaments. During his visit, he praised the technical expertise of the POF staff and was very much impressed with the Quality Management System adopted by the factory.
