Donations for Jihad

HANGU, Nov 5: The Tehrik-i-Taliban, Orakzai Agency on Monday asked armed volunteers to reach Mashthikhel area on Nov 11 from where they would cross over to Afghanistan for joining the “holy war” against the US forces.

The announcement was made at a protest demonstration arranged by the Tehrik at Ghaljo area. The participants donated weapons, gold, money and other items and asked the Pakistan government to open its border for the free movement of armed volunteers to Afghanistan.

The demonstration was addressed by president of Tehrik-e-Taliban, Orakzai Agency, Maulana Umer Haqqani, patron-in-chief of the Tehrik, Akhundzada Muhammad Aslam Farooqi, Syed Jalal, Mufti Suleman Abdul Kareem and others.

During the demonstration Rs1.7m, 4kg of gold, arms and ammunition and two truckloads of other goods were collected.

The speakers termed the US air strikes “an aggression” and “act of terrorism” against innocent Afghan people.

They said by adopting pro-US policies, the Pakistan government had betrayed the Muslims across the world.

Meanwhile, the Tehrik and local ulema in Orakzai agency expelled some persons accused of kidnapping a boy from the area and put to torch their four houses.

Few days back, the accused had kidnapped a boy of Akhel tribe from Anarchana village. The boy was allegedly kept at a house in Zargari area from where he managed to escape. The kidnapped boy took refugee in a nearby house whose inmates handed him over to the Tehrik-e-Taliban.
