KARACHI, July 26: Fifteen vehicles — two cars and 13 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Friday, the police said.

One car was hijacked. Another was stolen.

Five motorcycles were hijacked. Eight others were stolen.

The police also claimed on Friday to have recovered six cars and four motorcycles in the city.

DIES: A 17-year-old boy, Kashif Ali, died in Liaquatabad on late Thursday night after he consumed countrymade liquor.

Kashif’s mother, Noor Jehan, lodged an FIR at Shareefabad police station in which she named Irfan, Aftab, Saqib and Azeem for plotting a conspiracy against her son.

Quoting the boy’s mother, the police said that Kashif wanted to marry Saqib’s sister, so his friends gave him poisonous countrymade liquor who died after consuming it.

The body was sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

Arrested: Police arrested 16 people in different parts and recovered 2 TT pistols from their possession on Friday.

Asmat Afridi, Fawad, Feroz, Ibrahim, Shafiq and Shahzad belonging to two rival groups were arrested in Sher Shah Colony as they injured eight seriously.
