PESHAWAR, July 25: Newsmen’s hunger strike against non- implementation of the Seventh Wage Board Award in the newspaper industry continued for fourth day on Thursday.

The strike is being observed on the call of Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUJ) and All Pakistan Newspaper Employees’ Confederation (APNEC).

Newspaper employees sat at the hunger strike camp throughout the day.

People belonging to different shades of life, including politicians, human rights activists, social workers etc, visited the hunger strike camp and registered their remarks.

They called for implementation of the Wage Award at the earliest and stressed the need for issuance of appointment letters to the newspaper employees.—APP
