SCCI president Naqeebul Hasan Musavi, senior vice-president Shakeel Ahmed Mukhtar and other members of the executive committee, while welcoming the announcement of setting up of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Organization proposed that a committee of experts should be constituted while revising the IPR laws.

They said that announcement of timely refund of duty drawback and sales tax to the exporters and creation of business-friendly atmosphere was a welcoming step.

They said that consistency in the policy would accelerate economic activities in the country.

Meanwhile, the SCCI members also welcomed President Pervez Musharraf’s directive to Wapda to put on hold the increase in power tariff.
