KARACHI, July 24: Two more matches were decided in KCCA inter-zonal U-17 cricket tournament when Zone VI Whites defeated Zone-I Whites by 55 runs and Zone IV Whites defeated Zone-II Blues by 31 runs Wednesday.

Batting first Zone VI Whites scored 207 run in 50 overs after losing only seven wickets. Rizwan Khan (64), Athar Abid (50) and Waqas Haroon (41) were the main scorers. Asad Butt took five wickets for 49 runs in 15 overs. Zone-I Whites were shot out for 152.

In the second match played at KCCA stadium, Zone IV Whites beat Zone II Blues by 31 runs. Batting first Zone IV Whites scored 191 runs for the loss of eight wickets. In reply Zone II Blues were bowled out for 160.

First semifinal will be played on Thursday between Zone II Whites and Zone VI Whites at Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground while second semifinal will be played at KCCA Stadium.

Zone VI Whites 207 for seven in 50 overs ( Rizwan 64, Athar 50, Waqas Haroon 41; Asad Butt 5-49); Zone I Whites 152 (Muzammil 20; Azhar Shah 4-40, Asif Hameed 4-4 runs).

Zone IV Whites 191 for eight in 50 overs (Khurram Manzoor 70, Adnan Ahmed 30, Saad Siddiqui 27); Zone II Blues 160 all out in 47.2 overs (Ayaz Ali Shah 57, and Tahadulla 20; Ahmed Ali 4-18, Aamir Shah 2-40).—APP
