KHAIRPUR, Oct 7 Seven armed men reportedly kidnapped two young men near Agra village late on Tuesday evening when they were going to Koral Khuhro village from Nao Pathano village on a motorcycle.

Reports reaching here said that the kidnappers took Gul Bahar Channa, 20, and Rahim Bux Khuhro, 22, to katcha area.

The relatives of the hostages and police who were informed soon afterwards followed foot prints of the kidnappers and found the victims' motorcycle abandoned at a place near Agra. They came back on Wednesday after the footprints disappeared near the Indus River.

Gul Bahar is a nephew of poet Lalan Channa who is also secretary of Sindhi Adabi Sangat's Sobhodero chapter.

Lalan said that Gul Bahar used to work as a labourer and Pappu Khuhro was a peasant. Both the victims' families were very poor, he said.
