TOBA TEK SINGH, July 24: The PPP and PML (N) will make adjustment on national and provincial seats of Kamalia for the forthcoming general elections.
A source disclosed here on Wednesday that former federal minister Khalid Ahmad Kharal had agreed not to contest from the NA 92, Kamalia. Under the adjustment programme, PML (N) central leader and former federal minister Chaudhry Asadur Rehman would be a unanimous candidate from this seat.
He said that Haider Ali Kharal, son of Khalid Ahmad Kharal, would contest the Kamalia city’s provincial assembly seat from where there was no PML (N) candidate.
It is also expected that a new candidate, Mian Ghulam Mustafa Ramday, son of Supreme Court judge Khalil Ramday, will be a PML (QA) candidate from NA 92.
PARTY ELECTIONS: The PPP and Millat Party have announced to hold elections of their respective parties’ office bearers of district organizations.
According to a press release issued here on Wednesday by PPP district president Haji Eshaq, candidates for party offices could file their nomination papers in district office till July 26 while the elections would be held on July 28.
A Millat Party press release issued by district president Chaudhry Ihsanul Haq said the party elections would be held on July 29 under the supervision of Punjab chief organizer Ghiasuddin Janbaz.
