HYDERABAD, July 23: The directorate of agriculture information will organize an exhibition of instructional documentary films on modern technologies of cultivation and water management in 300 villages during the current year.

This was said by the director, information, Sindh Agriculture Extension Project, here on Tuesday.

He said these documentaries would be shown to farmers through two mobile cinema units with an objective to disseminate better techniques of farming and to motivate farmers to adopt the same.

He said the mobile film units had recently completed one round of the cotton growing areas during which documentaries on cotton management technology and production of contamination-free cotton were exhibited in 52 villages of Mirpurkhas, Dadu, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Naushahro Feroze, Sukkur, Khairpur, Larkana and Jacobabad districts. Each show was watched by 200 to 285 farmers, he added.

He said the documentaries also included some entertaining material, like songs and humour skits.
