KARACHI, July 23: Police on Tuesday set up a free medical camp at Firdous Colony, Nazimabad, for general public in connection with the polio day.

Inaugurating the camp, Asad Ashraf Malik, Additional Inspector General of Sindh Police, emphasised the police role to serve community and said police could rebuild the public confidence by conquering their hearts. He said that the peoples trust in the police department would also help control crimes.

He was of the view that such sorts free camps be held by the police in future also for welfare of general public.

Asad Ashraf lauded the role of the former Liaquatabad Town police officer SSP Hussain Asghar in setting up a series of free camps in various localities in the defunct district central and said Hussain Asghar had been posted as AIG Police Welfare so that people and police officials could get benefits from his services.

Later, he visited different units of the free medical camps including skin diseases, child health unit, surgery, medicine, etc. He also administered polio drops to some children.

He also praised Dr. Safdar for arranging medical equipment and facilitating the people in the free medical camp.

Asad Ashraf also visited Police Hospital on the premises of Nazimabad police station, where a surgery unit was recently established.
