ISLAMABAD, July 20: Ramna and Islamabad Clubs craved out victories Saturday in the Independence Day Soccer Tournament being played here at the Pakistan Sports Complex Grounds.

Ramna edged past Evergreen 2-1 after both sides were locked 1-1 at the breather.

The winners led through a 15th minute strike from Majeed which was quickly neutralised by Irfan on the 18th. The match winner was put in by Qaiser on the 55th minute.

The pattern of play in the game between Islamabad Club and Islamabad United was a mirror-image of the first match.

The teams were level 1-1 at half-time before Faisal’s decisive goal on the 60th minute gave Islamabad Club a 2-1 victory.

Islamabad United had scored first through Sohail, a lead that was wiped out by Saqib.
