MUZAFFARABAD, July 20: The AJK government has formed two different steering committees to propose steps and take necessary actions for the establishment of a medical and a naval cadet college in Muzaffarabad while another cadet college in Charoi District, Kotli.

This was stated by two notifications of the services and general administration department issued here on Saturday.

The committee for the medical college, headed by Chief Secretary Naeem Khan, includes Education Secretary Raja Mohammad Arif Khan, Director-General Health Services Dr Chaudhry Mohammad Akram and Director Surgery Dr Bashirur Rehman Kant as members. Raja Arif will also be the secretary of the committee.

The other body, headed by Chaudhry Mohammad Yousaf, adviser to the prime minister on education, includes Education Secretary Raja Mohammad Arif Khan, divisional commissioners of Muzaffarabad and Mirpur, and director-general education (secondary) as members. Education DG will also be the secretary of the committee.

Both committees, the notifications say, have been asked to submit their proposals within one month.
