PPP rejects second package

ISLAMABAD, July 15: The PPP has also rejected the draft second constitutional package, saying that no individual had right to tinker with the Constitution.

In a statement on Monday, PPP Acting Secretary-General Mian Raza Rabbani said the package was far beyond the limited authorisation to amend the Constitution given by the Supreme Court in the Zafar Ali Shah case, although the PPP maintained that even the SC could not amend it, let alone authorising the regime to amend it.
