Half centuries by Inam and Imran

KARACHI, July 13: The News reached the quarterfinals of the NBP inter-media cricket tournament when they defeated Aman by six wickets at the National Bank complex Saturday.

Aman, batting first, scored 130 for six from 25 overs with Inamullah scoring 53. Adnan Jafri bowled well and picked up three wickets for 28 runs while Naseem Akhtar snapped up two wickets for 27 runs.

Naeem later completed a final allround display by hitting an unbeaten 31. Imran Farooqi was the top scorer with 55 not out.

In the last league match Sunday The News will face APP at Regional Academy ground.
