KARACHI, July 13: A farmer by profession and political activist, Abdul Qadir Ranto, on Saturday appealed to philanthropists and NGOs working in the health sector to help him get his son treated at a private hospital of the city.
Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, former president of the Sindh Hari Tahrik, Ranto, said his 19- year- old son Manzoor Ali was suffering from aplastic anaemia as was diagnosed by medical experts.
He said the treatment of the said disease was only available at a private hospital in Karachi and the cost was estimated at over Rs1.2 million, which was far beyond his means.—APP
