KARACHI, July 12: Governor Mohammedmian Soomro on Friday visited various areas of the city and reviewed the cleanliness and hygienic conditions.

The governor drove through Mauripur Road, Sher Shah, SITE, Orangi Town, Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and inspected various roads and streets of the Societies.

During the visit, the governor stressed the need for improvement in cleanliness and the sewerage system. He hoped that elected representatives and concerned officials would gear up this task through collective efforts.

Soomro took notice of defective sewerage system and bad cleanliness conditions in certain areas of Orangi and cautioned that in future he would pay visit to various areas without any prior information.—APP
