HYDERABAD: Clarification

HYDERABAD, Nov 2: Apropos a news item published in our issue of Nov 1, headlined “Report not submitted in murder case” in connection with an FIR No 70/97 under section 302, 147, 148, 109, 34 PPC of Qasimabad police station. The DSP, Crime Branch, Karachi, Zarar Khan, has issued the following clarification:

“Accused Hakim Ali Zardari and Zanwar Ghulam Hyder were named as suspects in the above case and during investigation, Hakim Zardari was cleared by the SHO Qasimabad.

Zardari was let off under section 497-B CrPC, while the co- accused, Zanwar Ghulam Hyder, was arrested by the local police and granted bail by the court.

After thorough investigation, Abdul Latif Ansari, Abdul Hafiz Ansari, Abdul Shakoor Ansari, Asif Ali Zardari, Nawab Leghari, Zafar Mirani, Allahdad alias Photo Zardari, Allah Wasayo Zardari and Ghulam Nabi Zardari were shown as accused in the final chargesheet.

Hakim Zardari and Zanwar Ghulam Hyder were not found guilty and their names were not included in the chargesheet.

Due to transfer of the STA judge, it was ordered by the public prosecutor that the investigating officer and the SHO would be called after the posting of a new judge.”
