Distribution of wheat reviewed

Published July 7, 2002

QUETTA, July 6: Balochistan Governor Amirul Mulk Mengal has directed that the wheat provided from Zakat fund should be ensured that it is distributed among the drought victims of the province.

He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting on Friday to review the distribution work in the drought-hit areas of the province.

The participants also took up and discussed the people’s complaints about the mismanagement in the distribution in different areas and urged officials concerned to take measures for addressing the issues.

The meeting also evolved a policy to make the process of wheat distribution transparent so that the only deserved families benefit from Rs100 million wheat.
