GUJRANWALA, May 6 Three MCB officers wanted in the Khanani and Kalia case were declared proclaimed offenders by a local court on Wednesday.

Reports said MCB chief manager Sikandar Iqbal, Bank Square branch manager Irfan Butt and manager operation Usman Khan were declared co-accused of illegal money transactions of Khanani and Kalia franchise, Dunyia Enterprises. All the three accused opened bank accounts on bogus names. The FIA could not arrest them so far.

The FIA investigation submitted the report before court on Wednesday and special magistrate Fazal Jamil declared them absconders on the request of the investigation officer.

The investigation team member, Inspector Sarwar, said “we have already arrested four bank officers Muhammad Nawaz, Tufail Butt, Muhammad Malik and Naveed Zafar while raids are on for the arrest of other accused.”
