HYDERABAD, April 20 Navy, Pak Elektron Limited (PEL) and Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) registered wins in the NBP National Football Challenge Cup (NFCC) played at two separate venues on Monday.

At the HESCO Sports Complex, PEL beat DFA Hyderabad 5-0 in Group `D`. PEL`s frontrunners were on constant attack from the beginning.

The goals were scored by Mohammad Farooq Khan (fourth minute), Asmatullah Khan (18th and 62nd minutes), Ibrahim (29th minute) and Kamran Khan (56th minute).

In another match in the same group, holders Navy edged past Karachi Port Trust (KPT) 2-1. Striker Nomi Martin Gill scored in the 37th minute for Navy and fellow striker Sajjad Ahmed consolidated the lead in the 52nd minute.

KPT`s lone goal was scored by Zafar Ahmed in the 76th minute.

In the match Group `C` match played at the Hyderabad Public School ground, KRL beat Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) 4-1.

KRL`s striker Mahmood Khan scored a hat-trick (21st, 35th and 41st minutes) while their fourth goal was scored by fellow striker Khalil Ahmed in the 67th minute.

Striker Mohammad Akbar scored the consolation goal for KESC on a penalty kick in the 57th minute.

Tuesday`s fixtures PAF v HEC at 9.30am at HESCO Complex; PIA v Army at 5.00pm at Hyderabad Public School ground; Wapda v HBL at 5.00pm at HESCO Complex. —Agencies
