KARACHI, July 1: The University of Karachi on Monday announced establishment of a three-member inquiry committee to probe into the alleged illegal possession of over 362 degrees by former KU deputy registrar Syed Jamaluddin.
Consisting of Dr Fahimuddin, controller of examinations, Inkisarul Haq and deputy registrar Syed Khalid, the committee will investigate the matter and present its report within a week to the vice-chancellor.
Jamaluddin was accused of embezzlement in issuing degrees when he was controller of examinations.
Former KU vice-chancellor Dr Jamil Jalibi had ordered an investigation against him.— PPI
