QUETTA, June 28: An Iranian national allegedly involved in drug smuggling was gunned down in the city late on Friday, police said.

Unidentified assailants barged into the house of Nur Mohammed and shot him dead, they said, adding the gunmen escaped. “Armed assailants scaled the compound wall of his house and went straight into his bedroom,” Quetta police chief Abid Ali said.

“They broke open the door which was locked from inside and sprayed bullets, killing him on the spot.” —AFP
