Sakhirani narrates ordeal

DADU, Nov 1: Popular vocalist Manzoor Ali Sakhirani has said that he was kidnapped by a gang of 13 dacoits in a very organized way some 111 days ago.

Talking to newsmen in Markhpur Mohalla here on Thursday, he said that the kidnappers were in police uniform and three of them were well- trained.

He said that two of the dacoits were highly educated and they were regular reader of an English daily.

He disclosed that a group of highly influential persons was also involved in his kidnapping.

He said that the dacoits had sent a message to his relatives to pay Rs20 million for his release.

Sakhirani said that whenever they read a news item about demonstrations for his release they insulted him.

He claimed that his relatives had not paid a single rupee to any gang of the dacoits for his release.

Meanwhile, SHO of the Dadu town police on Thursday recorded the statement of Manzoor Sakhirani and his colleagues .

They have refused to disclose the details of their statements.
