TCP accepts bids for 1,500 bales

KARACHI, June 28: The TCP has accepted two separate bids from two different parties for sale of 1,500 cotton bales.

According to TCP a Switzerland-based buyer M/s Dunavant, had submitted bid for 500 bales of PCSI Grade Box-I at 38.22 cents per lb while counter offer was given at 39.50 cents per lb.

Whereas second bid which was accepted by TCP for PCSI Grade Box-II submitted by M/s P.T. Perata, of Indonesia for 500 bales at 36.06 cents per lb. However for another lot of 500 bales the corporation accepted offer at 35.53 cents per lb.

The counter offer for 1,000 bales was given by TCP to highest bidder at 38.50 cents per lb.

The TCP rejected offers for remaining grades for which it had invited tenders on June 27.—PPI
