CJ lauds lawyers’ services

SHIKARPUR, Nov 1: The Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Saiyed Saeed Ashhad, has lauded the services of the lawyers in helping the judiciary to provide due justice to the people and assured them to solve the problems of the lawyers as well as judiciary.

The Chief Justice heard the demands including the construction of compound wall of the sessions court, establishment of the banking court at Shikarpur and appointment of more judges and judicial magistrates in the district.

The Chief Justice called upon the lawyers to extend their due cooperation to the courts to expedite the pending cases and to disperse early justice to the people.

Later the Chief Justice attended a reception arranged by District Bar Association Shikarpur there.

NEW BUILDING: The Chief Justice, Sindh High Court, Saiyed Saeed Ashhad inaugurated the newly-constructed additional block of the district and sessions court building here on Thursday.

The construction of the building was completed at an estimated cost of Rs9.462 million.

Earlier the Chief Justice was briefed about the funds and construction works.

The Chief Justice expressed his displeasure over the delay in the completion of the building. Later he planted a sapling of Bedmushk in the premises of the building.

ARRESTED: New Foujdari police Shikarpur has arrested three main accused in the murder of Sardar Ali Hassan Kalhoro. They were identified as Haji Jatoi, Mir Jatoi and Muhammad Ali Jatoi.

RAIDED: A police party led by ASP Shikarpur raided a hotel situated at Khath Madi Mohalla, arrested atleast 59 persons belonging to various classes on Wednesday night. They were sitting in hotel to watch porno movies. The hotel owner Imdad Ali Kakepoto managed to flee.
