Prisoner flees from court

SAHIWAL, June 24: An under-trial accused escaped from the custody of police in district courts on Monday.

Judicial lockup in charge SI Rao Ali Tahir had sent 15 under-trial accused to the court of judicial magistrate Saifullah Mohal along with police guard. Arshad Kamboh was not present when summoned by the judge and his handcuff was open.

Around a dozen cases of murder, dacoity, rape and kidnapping are in process against Arshad in the different courts.

Civil Lines police arrested constables Fida Hussain, Mamrez, Allah Ditta and Muhammad Hussain after registration of the case. City DSP is holding an inquiry into the matter.
