KARACHI, June 22: A 14-year-old boy died and nine others were injured in a road accident in the city on late Friday night.

A van, carrying workers of a catering service, overturned on Sharea Faisal due to the slippery road after drizzle. Ten workers were injured, one of them seriously. They were rushed to the JPMC where, in the absence of a medicolegal officer, doctors could not attend to the patients in time resulting in the death of the seriously injured worker.

The sources said doctors in the emergency ward did not attend to patients usually without medicolegal officer carrying out medicolegal formalities. The dead worker was identified as Abdur Rasheed.
