PESHAWAR, June 20: The NWFP cabinet met on Thursday at the Governor’s House here and considered budgetary proposals for non-developmental and development programmes for 2002-03, and approved them with certain modifications.

NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah was in the chair.

The cabinet also considered various proposals to improve the provincial revenues.

The provincial cabinet further decided that the major focus of development programmes in the next financial year should be on the social sector particularly health and education.

It decided that efforts will be made to exploit the economic resources of the province to the fullest.
